Maybe a New Okami?

When the Japanese game Okami came to PlayStation 2 in 2006 it was met with ideals of tributes. The game was then converted to wii in 2008. Okami used an artistically interesting graphic style reminiscent of traditional japanese ink drawings.
According to Kotaku, the game company Capcom now has hogged the trademark "Okamiden" which means "the legend of Okami" Of course there is speculations that this amounts that a sequel is underway. In that case, it is not the same game designer since Okamis creator Hideaki Kamiya has left at Capcom

False Alarm From Pyro Studios

Yesterday I wrote a very nice news that Pyro Studios Commandos classic series would be revived again. It turned out the news seemed a bit too good to be true, the game site Gamer.nl simply fabricated by that Pyro statement. At least according to game developers themselves. How to comment on the actual data Gamers.

"The News that Gamer.nl published is totally false. We have always thought us to revive the Commandos series, this is nothing new, but right now no official or firm and everything is just a wish, nothing more. I think Gamer.nl journalist turned his desire for novelty, and he quoted things that nobody said"

In the current situation Pyro only work with Planet 51, Commandos series is thus still shrouded in mystery, unfortunately.

Commandos Series Revived

Pyro Studios announced that Commandos series will resume after their current movie license title Planet 51 have seen the light during the fourth quarter of this year. Their last-lir Commandos, Commandos: Strike Force, the terms of a mistake and believe that the next title to come look back on more conventional elements of the series with emphasis on the acclaimed Commandos 2: Men of Courage. Which means that the stress one dimension, returning to top-down perspective and with luck, we have ourselves yet another classic in the neck.

The story began in 1998 with PC-exclusive Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines (who also got the Appendix Beyond the Call of Duty). The title was very popular and when Pyro Studios has become hot in the clothes released runner Men of Courage in 2001 for both PC as consoles, which was honored with a standing ovation. When we had become acquainted with Commandos 3: Destination Berlin, we were not as lyrical. Pyro then took a big strong and put in the Strike Force into a third dimension and the classic gameplayet was blown away, although according to us was fairly good if we take it for what it was.

Diablo III Not Until 2011?

After the opening ceremony Jeff Keighley and his colleague asked out Mike Morhaime via BlizzCons live feed on what has been said that two major game release will take place next year. Morhaime said that one of the titles was just World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.

There are two ways to interpret this. Either it's that StarCraft II and Cataclysm applicable, both titles now certainly is released next year, or they thought the statement of two major game release that SC2 coming out this year. Unfortunately it seems the most logical conclusion as to Diablo III is not coming out next year but the year after. Fast, D3 would be meant as a small drop and thus ... No. Forget it.

Gameplay From the Latest Ace Attorney

A new gameplay movie from the upcoming Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edge Worth, we can offer like this in sleep times. It shows up a little of the series' patented intimate dialogue and some of the lovable characters. Ace Attorney series is, for you who do not know, an adventure series that is as much is to read on to find clues to solve crimes cases in the courtroom. It would of course be argued that it would be police to find evidence and not a poor lawyer, but not then.

To shout "Objection!" as high as the ears fall of course is the most funniest.

Draw Me Backwards!: Diablo II

Year: 2000
Platform: PC
Genre: RPG
Developer: Blizzard North
Publisher: Blizzard Entertainment

Diablo II is a follow-up to the game Diablo, the game is a dark hack 'n slash RPG and that is to kill Diablo and his brothers, plus a host of other demons to save the world away evil. Released for Windows and Mac OS in 2000 by Blizzard Entertainment. The game can be played both in singelplayer and multiplayer (both over LAN and over the Blizzard Battle.net).

In April 2001 Diablo II had become one of the most popular online games ever. Much as may have contributed to the game's success is Blizzard Battle.net where it is most people who play and the player's hunt for the game "items" (weapons, shields, armor, etc).

The game was expanded in 2001 with the expansion, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, and is now in version 1.12a since June 2008.

A third game, Diablo III was published on the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational 2008 in Paris in June 28, 2008

ame Environment in Diablo II is ISOMETRIC and the player's character is always in the middle of the screen. The lower edge of the screen for information on how much life and Mana (energy) has the character and the abilities to use. The player controls his character with the mouse and can use the keyboard to quickly be able to perform various tasks, such as switching between different abilities, access the information window and more.

The first player gets to do is create a character. You can choose between five different classes; Amazon, Barbarians, Sorceress, Necromancer, and Paladin. All have access to different abilities and are best suited for different situations. In the expansion, Lord of Destruction adds two classes; Druid and Assassin.

The game is based on a so-called level system that goes from level one to 99. When the player kills a monster he may experience points. After receiving enough points is the character to the next level and can then choose a new character or be better at any of the already chosen and deploy five skill points. Skill points are distributed between the various skills such as strength, endurance and strike resistance. Central to the game and directly dependent on skills and skill points are the so-called Builds, ways to place the score. Each class has its own Builds and with time the players have discovered the most effective depending on the character.

The action in Diablo II is divided into 4 different files, where the last act finally confronts Diablo. In each opportunity based player from a city where he will receive various missions or Quest, which he must go on, it can be anything from killing a certain monster to put together a magic wand. Although not all tasks are necessary, many offer rewards more skill points or runes. In each act there is a "boss" which must be dead to get to the next opportunity.

There are also three different difficulty levels in Diablo II, although these four acts, the various levels are Normal, Nightmare and Hell. Players must manage Normal first to get to Nightmare, and then you have to cope Nightmare to go to Hell. In Nightmare and Hell is the game much more difficult when the player will be weakened and lose experience when dying. Patterns become more dangerous and in Hell, all monsters immune to any of the elements contained in the game. When the player creates a character, he can choose to play Hardcore, which means that if the character dies, so the game stops, unlike Soft Core where the character can die as many times as you want.

Batman: Arkham Asylum Preview

I can 't decide which of movies with the bat I like the most, Tim Burton or Christopher Nolan, but after a handful of hours in Eidos registrants, I have already a good eye for Batman: Arkham Asylum. Drop all your preconceived ideas about licensing games for just a moment and come with a nice visit to an unpleasant prison.

The game is not based on a film but has its roots in the DC Comics comic books on the law enforcement revenge, therefore so far from the pastel-colored series from the 60's you can get. The design is nice dark and gloomy, which matches our hero temperament perfectly. It's impossible to smile, but there is certainly another gentleman who is very good at this, can you guess who?

The conditions for the story is simple: after a particularly easy battle, you have caught the Joker and tied up in your boat, driving him to the notorious prison Arkham Asylum. The game begins as you escort the wearer joke successor to the isolation section and at the same time can enjoy Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker aka) fantastic voicacting. The atmosphere is really thick and you just waiting for something to happen, which of course also do and not to ruin the experience we leave the events there.

You have a basic attack, performing both kicks and punches, and a counterattack when you are attacked from behind. The signal on the typical comic book way with lightning above the main villain, and you miss the timing you will be hit. The combination of these two giving a fight float that is very satisfactory.

The gameply consists of equal parts of combat, tactical and sneaky hint exploration and the balance there between feels really good, a bit as a Splinter Cell, but with Batman instead of Sam Fisher.

When the bad guys begin arming themselves with firearms, you must start thinking more tactically. As Bruce Wayne has no super powers maens a couple of shots in the chest the same as the game over.

At times, you must search for clues to take you further and it is done by a special vision, which you also can use to see what mood the crooks in.

As I wrote earlier is the balance between the three different moments works very well. If the developers keeps me as engaged during the whole game the ratings looks promising. If we also include the developer Rock Steady Studios has done a fantastic job graphically with Unreal 3 engine, it may well become one of my favorite titles this autumn. The game is released in late August.
